If you are getting an error 6 or 11, or if your board is making a strange noise coming from the motor inside the tire, there may be an issue with your motor cable not communicating correctly and causing the board to stutter. In this case, we recommend that you turn the board off and reconnect the motor cable. While it is disconnected take a moment to check to make sure both sides of the connection are clear of any obstructions and that nothing in the connector or the cable is damaged.
To do this, you can follow the instructions in the attached Footpad Manual (steps 1-3) but instead of disconnecting the smaller cable on the left, you will disconnect the similar-looking cable next to it. We've included a photo that shows this cable. When disconnecting and reconnecting, be sure that the board is powered off. If you cannot loosen the locking ring with your fingers, please do not pull the connector cable away from the controller module until the locking collar is loosened. If you feel resistance, be sure that you are twisting the correct piece before continuing. The piece you want to twist is the smaller one above where it says "ALTW". Twist the end piece (locking collar) until it is loose and then pull the connector cable away from the controller module gently.
If you feel uncomfortable doing this, please let us know. Forcing it can result in costly damage.
This may help to get your board back in action. If you are still not able to engage the board, please let us know and we can begin the process of bringing the board into our facilities.
