If your board does not respond to the charger, it may indicate a problem with either the board or the charger. If your board does not turn on at all, please refer to this article.
The easiest way to isolate the problem is by connecting your board to a different charger if you have one available. If you try using an alternative charger and the board responds and begins charging, then the issue is isolated to the charger. You can also try using your charger on another board to isolate the issue that way.
Home Chargers (chargers that come with your board in the same box) have a 1 Year warranty, while all other chargers have a 6 month warranty. If the charger is still within the warranty from its ship date, it may still be eligible for warranty and we recommend you contact us here and provide:
-
Proof of purchase (receipt from an authorized retailer or Onewheel Order number)
-
Full shipping address
If the charger is out of warranty, we recommend purchasing a new one from Onewheel.com
If you have tried using another charger and the board still does not charge, then the issue may be with the board. If the board is still within a year of its purchase date it may still be eligible for warranty and we recommend you contact us and provide:
-
Diagnostic Report from the App (found by pressing on the gear in the top left corner)
-
Proof of purchase (receipt from an authorized retailer or Onewheel Order number)
-
Full shipping address you want the board returned to after repair
If you do not have a different charger to try, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
We recommend plugging the charger into a different wall outlet and make sure that the charger LED is green, indicating that it is receiving power.
Once you plug your board in, the charger light should switch to red and your board's power button or Lightbar should illuminate, indicating a charge. You should also notice the charging symbol in the battery bar in your Onewheel app. Try connecting the board to the charger, then press the power button on the board to see if it accepts the charge.
If, when plugged in, the charger stays green and your board doesn't light up at all, there may be an issue with your board. Please contact us and send a diagnostic report from the app.
