If you're not being prompted to download the latest firmware update for your board, please follow these tips:
- Make sure you're connected to the board via the Onewheel App and the board is turned on
- Make sure the phone you are on has an internet connection
- Make sure you have the latest Onewheel App from your phone's app store
- Clear out of any pop-up notifications that the Onewheel app is displaying, including any error messages
- While on the "My Boards" page let the app sit idle, you may need to wait 2 minutes or so for the prompt to show up
- If you continue to have issues please try and disconnect the board from the app and reconnect to it:
- Open the Onewheel App with the board turned on
- Tap the hamburger menu in the top left
- Tap "Disconnect" at the bottom
- You should be back to the "My boards" tab, tap on the "i" next to your board, tap "Forget" in the top right corner
- Tap "Remove"
- You should be back at the "My Boards" Tab, find your Onewheel, and tap on it to connect to it.
If you are experiencing issues with the firmware update failing, please follow these tips:
- Make sure your phone has enough battery to complete the update
- Make sure your phone's Bluetooth connection is on. If your phone has never connected to this board, open up the Onewheel app and connect the board to your phone to establish a connection
Make sure you keep your phone within 5 feet of your Onewheel throughout the process
a. If you need to use the restroom or grab a drink, leave the phone next to the board!
- Do not close the Onewheel App during the update
We recommend beginning the update with your board's battery at around 50%
a. If you are below 50%, you may be asked to plug your board in
b. If you are above 50%, we recommend unplugging the charger and starting the update
- Make sure the board is in the "Ready to Ride" position and on a stand or laying on it's side
