In order to remove the old footpads from the board, a 1/8" hex key will be needed. If you purchase a new set or Surestance Pro Footpad, you will receive the necessary tool with it. Please only use hand tools and do not remove or install the screws with a power tool, doing so could damage your board or footpad.
Please take care when removing and installing the footpad cable on the front footpad (sensor side) into the controller and make sure you follow the directions closely to avoid any unintended damage to your board. It is particularly important when attaching this footpad to the controller you rotate the locking collar clockwise until it clicks in place. If you tighten past it clicking into place, you must continue clockwise another half turn until it clicks in place again.
Note that the hardware is held in place with a thread locking compound so it may require some force to remove the screws the first time.
When you purchase any footpad set or Surestance Pro footpad, our footpad manual will walk you through the removal and installation. We do also have a video showing the removal and installation here.
If you have one of our Surestance Pro series rear footpads, installation will be the same for a rear Surestance Footpad.
