Rail guards are a great way to customize your board and add an extra layer of protection to avoid scratching or damaging your board. Similar to a screen protector, Rail Guards will ship with a covered adhesive backing (red) and a clear plastic sheet over the outside part of the Rail Guard itself.
Here are a couple of tips to ensure smooth installation once you receive your new set of Rail Guards:
- Match up each Rail Guard with the corresponding side first
- Use a pointed object (such as an X-Acto knife or razor blade) to separate the adhesive protecting film from the adhesive and get in between the two layers
- Once both Rail Guards are installed on one side, flip the board around and rest it against the newly installed Rail guards to ensure the adhesive bonds
- Allow the Rail Guards to stick for at least one hour before riding to ensure the adhesive sets properly
