Future Motion’s warranty is limited and will initiate upon the board’s receipt by the purchaser as deemed by the delivery date of a onewheel.com order or proof of purchase from a certified retailer. It is important to understand that the warranty is valid based on the age or mileage of the unit. The battery pack, footpads, and tire are warranted for 6-months or 622 mi/1000 km, whichever comes first. The remaining components of the board, excluding accessories, are warranted for 12-months or 1243 mi/2000km, whichever comes first.
Water damage, physical damage, and improper use are not covered within the scope of the warranty. Repairs that fall out of the scope of warranty will be responsible for the cost of roundtrip shipping, labor, and the parts replaced or repaired. If a board’s warranty policy is still active but requires repairs due to factors outside of the warranty policy, for example, water or physical damage, the repair would be out of the scope of the warranty. Again, the board's warranty is limited by both time and mileage whichever comes first. To find a complete list of what is not covered under the limited warranty, we recommend you look at the official warranty here.
Future Motion reserves the right to refuse service on any product that has been modified or tampered with outside of installation of official Future Motion designed accessories. Modification of the board can lead to unintended damage or prevent the product from working as designed and pose a risk to the rider or any technician working on the unit. If a unit is received and found to be unsuitable to work on, the owner will be notified and charged for the return shipping of the unit if it is safe to do so.
At this time the only authorized repair facility is located in San Jose, California. If a board requires further evaluation or an issue cannot be resolved remotely, we will ask that the board is shipped to our technicians for inspection. We do understand that international shipping is costly and timely, however, it is important to have any technical issue addressed in-house at our authorized facility. Any unauthorized repairs, modifications, or alterations that cause damage to the board may void the warranty or result in a refusal of service.
