This guide will show you how to register one or more Onewheel boards into your Onewheel Owner Portal so that you can keep track and service of your boards.
To begin, you will need the following:
- A mobile device with the latest Onewheel app
- Your Rider Account login
- An internet connection
- A Onewheel
- Access to your email
How To Create a Onewheel Owner Portal Account
This is different than your rider account, however, you will link your rider account to your Owner Portal account later so you can start adding in your Onewheel fleet.
- Visit my.onewheel.com
- Click the “Don’t have an account? Create One here. Link
3. On the next screen, enter in all your email address, password, and contact information:
4. Click Submit – You will see a screen that informs you to check your email to be verified:
5. From your email, click “Confirm Account”
6. Return to my.onewheel.com or refresh your browser and login
7. Once logged in, you will be taken to your Dashboard
8. To link your Rider account (app account) click on “Link an Account” This step is necessary if you wish to perform services on your Onewheel
9. Enter in your Rider Username or Email address and Password (same account used to log-in to the Onewheel App) and click “Submit”
10. Your rider account will now be linked to your Ownership Portal Account. To ensure this was successful, you should see an “App Account Linked” with the linked rider name. Please be aware that you can only have one App Account linked to your Ownership Account.
11. After linking your Rider Account to your Ownership Account, you can now register your board(s) by clicking “Register A Board”! Please be aware that registering a board to your account is permanent at this time and there currently is no way to unregister a board that has already been registered.
12. After clicking “Register a Board” you will need to have your boards 10 digit serial number to begin. You can find your board’s 10 digit serial number laser etched on the underside of the board’s rails, next to the QR Matrix Code. Please note, your 10 digit serial number can not be found in the Onewheel App. Enter in the 10 Digit Serial Number and click “Next”
13. You will then need to verify ownership of that board. If you bought your Onewheel directly from Onewheel.com you will need to enter in the original phone number, last name, and Shipping Address used when you originally placed your order. If you bought your Onewheel from someone else, or from a dealer, click the “Not the original Owner? Submit a photo here” (NOTE: If you chose the “Not the Original Owner” option, you will need to take a photo of your board’s 10 digit serial number as found on the underside of the board’s rails. Once submitted, our customer service team will need to verify the image’s authenticity before you can proceed”
14. After clicking “Next” you will receive confirmation that your board has been registered and added to your fleet
15. After registering your board from the Ownership Portal, you will need to finalize the registration by activating your board within The Onewheel App by turning on your Onewheel and connecting to it via the Onewheel App.
(please note that the in the image above, the button is grayed out until you register your board from the Onewheel App)
16. Download and install the latest Onewheel App from your device’s app store and open the Onewheel App
17. Turn on your Onewheel you registered and connect to the board and make sure you are logged into your Rider Account that was used during the linking process
18. Click on the “Hamburger” Menu within the Onewheel App
19. Click “Service and Registration”
20. You should see your registered Onewheel show “Validated” but not “Activated”
21.To Activate the board, click the “Activate” button and a prompt will pop up asking you again to click “Activate”
22. Once activated within the app, you can click on “Open Owner Portal” or refresh your current owner portal to see if the activation was successful. If it was successful, you should be able to “Select” the board from the Ownership Portal
Congratulations! You have successfully added your first Onewheel to your Ownership Portal. From here you can add multiple boards to your fleet!
If you recently purchased a Onewheel Component such as a Onewheel Battery Replacement, you will need to perform all the registration and activation steps as outlined above.
